Yesterday I saw an interview with Daniel Negreanu - the best poker player of year 2004 - where he states, that poker is a good way to earn money and 1,000,000 per year would be substantial sum for his living. He is a pro, he needs more while not so professional player can be satisfied with less money.

Common poker player who has got a family, regular 8 hours job would add additional money to his income just playing internet poker at home. Internet connection and computer is comparatively cheap, so every decent houshold can afford it. Playing online poker can be fun for all familly, because everybody can see the tension, discuss before making a decision to raise or to fold. Also it is better to know that man of woman is playing home, not in some kind of local casino or unreliable basement. Sometimes there are no basements or casinos around so the only way out is internet poker.

Differences between internet poker and B&M poker

I am still looking the article which could clearly explain the differences between internet poker and land based poker (sometimes called B&M poker). I could not find such information even in Poker News or Online Poker websites.

It is a pity that some countries are pub on various e-commerce ban lists. For example Lithuania. A small country with 3,4 million population has lots of troubles with credit card frauds.
